The Role:

As the People Partner, you will act as an operational and, where appropriate, strategic partner to leaders and managers within a designated part of the organisation, providing expert HR advice, guidance, coaching and support in line with IEG policies and procedures, to drive and enable workforce effectiveness.

The role works closely with leaders and managers to align people strategies with business objectives, delivering workforce planning, recruitment, probation management, performance management, informal employee relations, change management, employee engagement, talent development and succession planning while ensuring compliance with employment law and sector-specific regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

· Partnering with leaders and managers to develop and implement workforce plans aligned with strategic objectives and managing flexible working requests,

· Leading the recruitment and selection processes working in partnership with hiring managers and working closely with the People Services Delivery team to ensure that the recruitment, on-boarding and induction administration processes are delivered at pace.

· Working closely with leaders and managers to ensure that performance management practices comply with IEG’s policies and procedures.

· Working closely with the ER and Compliance Manager to provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters including the mitigation of risk, ensuring fair and lawful outcomes.

· Leading on sickness absence management in line with IEG’s policies and processes, with the aim of maximising productivity of the workforce, referring formal cases to the ER & Compliance Manager.

· Leading and championing the employee value proposition, so that EVP is maximised to continuously improve employee engagement, measured via the employee survey.

· Leading change management projects and programmes including re-structures, TUPE, mergers and acquisitions and cultural change ensuring regulatory and legal compliance.

· Supporting organisational development activities including leadership development, coaching and succession planning, working closely with the Group Learning and Organisation Development Manager and the executive Director of People Services.

· Ensuring that HR policies, procedures and practices are consistently applied and legally compliant reporting concerns and continuous improvement opportunities to the ER and Compliance Manager enabling them to drive changes to employment-related policies.

· Leading and championing equality, diversity and inclusion embedding best practice across the organisation.

· Leading and/or contribute to key HR projects as directed by the Executive Director of People Services.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated People Partner that is CIPD Level 5 or Level 7 qualified hat is able to establish credibility, influence and build strong trusting relationships quickly across all levels. The ability to manage conflicting priorities is essential and able to project manage with clarity and purpose and to quality and time standards.

You will be able to demonstrate experience of operating as a strategic HR Partner in a large and complex organisation. In addition, demonstrable experience of leading end to end change management projects including; redundancy, redeployment, TUPE, mergers and acquisitions.
