Maths Lecturer – Epping, East London/Essex Border

Are you a skilled Maths educator with a passion for helping students unlock their potential? A well-established college in Epping is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Maths Lecturer to join the team from September 2025.

This temp ongoing position offers up to £35 per hour, making it an excellent opportunity for a dynamic individual who is ready to engage learners and deliver high-quality maths education.

Responsibilities:

• Teach Functional Skills and GCSE Maths to a diverse range of learners
• Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons aligned with the curriculum
• Monitor, assess, and track student progress
• Provide support and encouragement to help learners build confidence and skills
• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning

Requirements:

• Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent)
• Degree or subject-specialist qualification in Mathematics or a related field
• Previous experience teaching Maths in a Further Education or secondary setting
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Ability to inspire and support learners of all abilities

Essential:

• Enhanced DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service) – must be on the Update Service or obtained prior to start
