Health & Social Care Work Placement Assessor

Location: Cumbria

Salary: Negotiable

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

We are seeking a passionate and proactive Work Placement Assessor for Health and Social Care to support learners on their practical journey towards qualification. This is a permanent role with a well-established college committed to developing its team and growing the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Whether you’re already assessing or coming straight from the sector, this role offers full training and support to gain relevant qualifications. It’s a great chance for a skilled care professional looking for stability, development, and a fresh challenge in a rewarding environment.

The Role:

  • Coordinate and support learners undertaking Health & Social Care placements
  • Liaise with employers and on-site supervisors to ensure learners meet key outcomes
  • Conduct on-site observations and maintain accurate records of progress
  • Help learners reflect on their practice and grow in confidence
  • Work closely with tutors and curriculum teams to align assessment and academic learning

    What You’ll Need:

  • Background in Health and Social Care, Nursing or similar profession
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Understanding of work-based learning environments
  • A relevant assessor or teaching qualification is an advantage, but not essential
  • Commitment to learner success and employer engagement
