Overview:

A well-established international law firm is seeking a confident and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join its team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, covering maternity leave. This position is available on a fully remote basis within the UK, or from offices in London or Bristol with hybrid flexibility. This is a great opportunity for an early-career finance professional to gain hands-on experience supporting commercial decision-making within a fast-paced, professional services environment.

Key Responsibilities for the Financial Analyst:

• Assist with financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting processes
• Conduct analysis of financial performance to provide insights to senior stakeholders
• Prepare clear and accurate financial models, summaries, and reporting packs
• Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial trends
• Support month-end and year-end financial processes
• Conduct variance analysis and contribute to cost-efficiency reviews
• Maintain and enhance financial spreadsheets and reporting templates
• Collaborate with finance and operational teams across the business
• Assist with ad-hoc analysis and support ongoing finance projects

Candidate Profile for the Financial Analyst:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related subject
• Part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or actively studying towards qualification
• 1-2 years’ experience in a finance analyst or similar role
• Experience in a professional services or legal sector environment is desirable
• Strong Excel skills, including data analysis and financial modelling
• Excellent communication skills – able to present complex financial information clearly
• Organised, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• A commercial mindset and strong attention to detail
